Softball Recap: Daniel Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Daniel challenged Seneca on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 10-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in March.

Maddie Iams and Kaitlyn Judd stepped up to the plate in a big way. Iams scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Judd went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Maxon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Daniel's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Seneca, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Daniel will face off against rival Berea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Seneca is set to square off against their familiar foe Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
