The Knightstown Panthers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by Northeastern at home and fell 71-40. While losing is never fun, Knightstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Northeastern is ranked 112th).

That was a full 52.5% of Knightstown's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brantt Ellis, who scored eight points.

It was another big night for Landon Scarrette, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist for Northeastern. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scarrette has scored all season. Dae Lundy was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Knightstown and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Northeastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Knightstown will head out on the road to take on Winchester Community on Saturday. As for Northeastern, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lapel at 7:30 p.m. Lapel is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
