Softball Recap: Lincoln Has No Trouble Against Mission

Lincoln never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mission Bears as they made off with a 16-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Anjali Evans was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brienna Tsui, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Lincoln moved to 9-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mission, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Lincoln is taking a road trip to face off against El Camino at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Colts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.92 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mission, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Galileo at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
