Basketball Recap: Cardinal Mooney Takes a Loss

Cardinal Mooney saw some tournament action on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 57-42 to the Crestwood Red Devils. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crestwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but James Durham led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards. Durham is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Durham, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine assists.

Cardinal Mooney's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Crestwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-4 record this season.

Cardinal Mooney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crestwood, they will take on South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crestwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season.
