Warren County dropped their record down to 7-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Vance Charter Knights by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Warren County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Adcock, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

As for Vance Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.

On Vance Charter's side, Austin Dethmers made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Dethmers posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
