            Baseball Recap: Dickson Comets vs. Wynnewood Savages        
        
		
        
        
            Dickson can  bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Wynnewood Savages as the Dickson Comets made off with  a  12-0 victory. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the   5-2 win the Savages walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2023.
 Cade McKeown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). McKeown was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Kobey Hillis was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  Austin Hart was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Dickson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .680. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wynnewood only posted  an  OBP of  .182.

Dickson's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Wynnewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Looking ahead, Dickson will square off against Marlow at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Wynnewood will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lexington at 1:00  p.m.  on March 18th.
