Recap: Ribault Trojans vs. Lake Wales Highlanders
The Ribault Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Lake Wales 87-66. The result was nothing new for Ribault, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Caleb Williams was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and dropping a triple-double on 34 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Kaleb McDuffie was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Despite the loss, Lake Wales still got an impressive performance from Gary Love, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Ossinac, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Ribault has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Lake Wales, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Ribault will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Ribault is ranked 126th). Lake Wales is on the road again on Friday and play against Mandarin at 3:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Mandarin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 219 points over their last three games.
