Rice Memorial hadn't done well against South Burlington recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Green Knights came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 3-1. For the Green Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Rice Memorial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 25-14, 26-24.

Mary Biggins paced Rice Memorial's offense, picking up 11 kills. Biggins got some help from Trinity Angle and her 25 assists. Angle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Rice Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for South Burlington, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
