Volleyball Game Preview: Roswell Coyotes vs. Santa Teresa Desert Warriors

The Roswell Coyotes will venture away from home to square off against the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Roswell came up short against Goddard on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Coyotes have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Roswell was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Goddard's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Santa Teresa waltzed into their match last Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats.

Santa Teresa walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-9, 17-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Santa Teresa's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Roswell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Roswell took their victory against Santa Teresa in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
