Poston Butte has gone 4-0 against Desert View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Poston Butte is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Horizon on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Poston Butte was beaten by Horizon 70-33. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-14.

Meanwhile, Desert View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 76-65 to Maricopa.

Despite the defeat, Desert View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Xaime Reyes posted 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for Reyes. Another player making a difference was Robert Medrano, who had eight points and ten rebounds.

Desert View's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Poston Butte, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Poston Butte against Desert View in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, as the team secured a 69-37 win. Does Poston Butte have another victory up their sleeve, or will Desert View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
