Softball Recap: Chandler Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Gilbert Classical Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chandler Prep). They put the hurt on the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans with a sharp 30-14 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.

Kate W was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and seven RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Smith, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chandler Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Chandler Prep's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Chandler Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 40-18 defeat against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on the 28th.
