Basketball Game Preview: New Covenant Gryphons vs. Tandem Friends Badgers

Two dominant guards in Cole Murdock and Sincere Fordham are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The New Covenant Gryphons will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tandem Friends Badgers at 7:15 p.m. New Covenant is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.

New Covenant is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Fredericksburg Christian.

Despite their loss, New Covenant saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lucas Gorman, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. Luke Cordes was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Tandem Friends came up short against The Covenant on Monday and fell 54-46. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tandem Friends' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for New Covenant, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
