Basketball Game Preview: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. Summit SkyHawks

Having just played yesterday, the Temecula Valley Golden Bears will jump right back in to play the Summit SkyHawks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Temecula Valley has given up an average of 60.9 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Temecula Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Rancho Cucamonga on Friday. The Golden Bears managed a 99-93 victory over the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Summit was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 50-49 to Aquinas.

Temecula Valley pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 91.0 points over those games. As for Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Temecula Valley beat Summit 74-61 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
