Softball Recap: Conneaut Comes Up Short

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Geneva Eagles. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ella Boroski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Sherman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Conneaut's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Geneva, their record now sits at 5-7.

Conneaut has already played their next match, a 13-2 loss against Madison on the 28th. As for Geneva, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-3 win against Maplewood on the 26th.
