Westerville Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Westerville North Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Warhawks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While Westerville Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-16.

Westerville Central had a senior duo take command as Jane Zvolanek had six digs, five kills, and one block and Hannah Pullins had 20 digs and one assist. Zvolanek is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 23 or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Westerville Central is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Hilliard Darby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westerville North, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hilliard Bradley on the 16th.
