Baseball Game Preview: Adamsville Cardinals vs. Scotts Hill Lions

For the second straight game, Adamsville will face off against Scotts Hill. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Lions at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Adamsville took on Scotts Hill on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Scotts Hill's part, Jonas Howard tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady Beecham, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cy Maness, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The win (which was Scotts Hill's third in a row) raised their record to 5-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Adamsville, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-8.
