Softball Recap: Gilford Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Gilford faced Raymond in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rams a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Golden Eagles have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gilford's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.8 runs this season. As for Raymond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
