            Volleyball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Tigers vs. Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions        
        
		
        
        
            
Triangle Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They came up short against  the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions, falling  3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Flying Lions from their previous meeting  back in August of 2024.
 Triangle Math & Science was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17,  25-23.
 Excelsior Classical Academy found their leader in freshman  Alejandra Orozco, who  had six  digs and five  aces. Orozco also set a new season-high mark in  assists with 22.
Triangle Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triangle Math & Science will square off against NCSSM: Durham at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Excelsior Classical Academy and Vance Charter will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something the Flying Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
