Softball Recap: Riverside Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Riverside waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cross County Thunderbirds a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Rebels have won ten contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverside's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Cross County, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Coming up, Riverside will host Paragould at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Cross County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
