Meadow Heights dropped their record down to 4-16 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 19-9 to the Leopold Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 25-3 loss back in March.

As for Leopold, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by nine runs or more this season.

For Leopold's part, Piper Lincoln made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Lincoln was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Leopold got a massive performance out of Ava Jansen, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Jansen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katlyn Arnzen, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meadow Heights will challenge rival Richland at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Leopold is set to take on their familiar foe Advance at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
