Soccer Recap: Circle Comes Up Short

Circle and El Dorado pushed the score to 7-3 the last time they played El Dorado, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Circle's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Circle has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season. As for El Dorado, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Circle is set to challenge their familiar foe McPherson on Tuesday. Meanwhile, El Dorado will take on rival Rose Hill on Thursday.
