Baseball Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tampa Bay Tech last Saturday, Brandon came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 6-0 to the Sumner Stingrays on Monday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Stingrays when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brandon has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Sumner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon will face off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sumner, they will square off against Steinbrenner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
