Baseball Recap: Lakeland Regional Takes a Loss

If Lakeland Regional was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Kennedy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers came up short against the Wayne Hills Patriots on Thursday, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on Monday.

Lakeland Regional dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Wayne Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Lakeland Regional has already played their next matchup (against DePaul Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wayne Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Pope John XXIII on the 2nd.
