Softball Recap: Shelton Highclimbers vs. Black Hills Wolves

Shelton extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-12 in the process. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Hills Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 last Friday.

As for Black Hills, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

For Black Hills' part, Makenna Oderman and Kailey Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Oderman went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Miller went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Miller has posted since back in March. Madi Malone was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
