Basketball Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Find Success

Itawamba Agricultural won the last time they faced Wheeler and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Itawamba Agricultural Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over the Wheeler Eagles.

Wheeler lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emma Kate Beckham, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisley Lane, who posted 15 points.

Itawamba Agricultural pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Itawamba Agricultural will head out to square off against Muscle Shoals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wheeler, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
