Basketball Recap: Lindbergh Takes a Loss

Lindbergh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 56-16 loss at the hands of the Cedarcrest Red Wolves.

Cedarcrest was led to victory by Stella Metcalf and Avery Dice. Metcalf posted eight points in addition to nine steals and eight assists, while Dice went 9 for 10 on her way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Davis, who put up eight points.

Lindbergh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cedarcrest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Lindbergh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 18-17 win against Evergreen on the 13th. As for Cedarcrest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-33 loss against Interlake on the 13th.
