Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Hills Knights vs. Alta Loma Braves

The Shadow Hills Knights and the Alta Loma Braves will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Shadow Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.

Shadow Hills picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They walked away with a 47-34 victory over Riverside Prep. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 499th, while the Silver Knights are ranked 1014th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shadow Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Wiley led the charge by putting up 14 points. Wiley continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Nate Williams was another key player, posting 11 points.

Meanwhile, Alta Loma had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 70-49 win. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Alta Loma's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Shadow Hills, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Shadow Hills didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Alta Loma in their previous matchup back in November of 2018, but they still walked away with a 71-66 win.
