Volleyball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Cumberland Valley

Carlisle faced Cumberland Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Thundering Herd came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 26, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-10.

Hayden Ackley went supernova For Cumberland Valley., getting 20 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Ackley has posted since back in March. Kai Dunwoody also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Cumberland Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.
