Baseball Recap: George Stevens Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Bucksport

George Stevens Academy faced Bucksport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Bucks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 16-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

George Stevens Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bucksport, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George Stevens Academy will square off against Washington Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Bucksport, they will face off against Sumner at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
