Baseball Game Preview: Hoover Huskies vs. Madonna Blue Dons

Hoover has won four straight games at home, while Madonna has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Huskies will host the Blue Dons at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hoover proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Charleston Catholic 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Irish: they've now won three in a row.

Kaeden Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Hoover secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Sam Kee, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Madonna won against Cameron on Monday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Blue Dons never let Weir get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Madonna, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
