Football Game Recap: New Town vs. Velva

Velva were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took the contest and then some with a 54-0 win on Friday over New Town. That result is just more of the same for Velva, who also won the last time these teams played.

The victory bumped Velva's record up to 3-0. New Town are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Velva will look to defend their home turf next week against Kenmare/Bowbells/Burke Central at 7:00 PM. Velva have bulldozed their previous 3 opponents, so Kenmare/Bowbells/Burke Central might have their hands full. As for New Town, they will face off against Stanley. New Town come in off of 3 low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
