Volleyball Recap: Pacifica Comes Up Short

Pacifica extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 8-8. They came up short against the Santa Barbara Dons, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tritons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Santa Barbara, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-10. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Santa Barbara was led to victory by Jules Horton and Grace Costner. Horton had three digs and two aces, while Costner had 12 digs. What's more, Horton racked up 32 assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pacifica will challenge rival San Marcos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara is set to face off against their familiar foe Dos Pueblos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
