Fayette County posted their closest victory since April 23, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Berry Wildcats 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in February, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Fayette County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. Berry's loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coincidentally, Fayette County and Berry will both be playing South Lamar the next time they take the field. Fayette County will head out to face South Lamar on Saturday, while Berry will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
