Timpview has no trouble against Brighton

The Timpview Thunderbirds had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Brighton 55-35. The victory was nothing new for Timpview as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Timpview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Helaman Casuga , who threw for 407 yards and three touchdowns. Casuga has been hot recently, having posted 300 or more passing yards the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Braxton Wilkerson, who picked up 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Timpview's defensive line and their six sacks. Matthias Lesa was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four sacks himself.

Brighton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Case Beames, who picked up 120 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Timpview's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Brighton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Timpview will face off against Olympus at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Olympus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
