Basketball Recap: Bear River Takes a Loss

Bear River played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 51-28 to the Sky View Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Bobcats are ranked 34th).

When it comes to explaining why Bear River lost, don't look at Aubree Fry. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points along with five boards and three steals. Saydee Pebley was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

It was another big night for Claire Fischer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 boards for Sky View. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Mckay, who went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Bear River and nudges their season record down to 4-15. As for Sky View, their record now sits at 12-7.

Bear River will head out on the road to take on Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sky View, they will challenge West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
