Basketball Recap: Amite Comes Up Short

Amite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 60-42 bruising from the St. Paul's Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Wolves are ranked 78th).

Amite's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for St. Paul's, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Amite has already played their next game (against Mandeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Paul's has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Hammond.
