Softball Game Preview: McDaniel Mountain Lions vs. Grant Generals

For the second straight game, McDaniel will face off against Grant. The Mountain Lions will host the Generals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. McDaniel is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

McDaniel fell victim to Grant and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals.

For Grant's part, not much got past Hazel Heron, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep McDaniel off the board. Heron has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grant let Livia Redhead and Nora DuLong run wild. Redhead went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while DuLong got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. That RBI marked the first that Redhead has brought in this season.

McDaniel's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Grant, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
