Softball Game Preview: Chancellor Chargers vs. Westmoreland Eagles

The Chancellor Chargers will head out to challenge the Westmoreland Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chancellor comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Eastern View hit Chancellor with a nine-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chargers came up short against the Cyclones, falling 13-2.

Chancellor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Francesca Williams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Ashlyn Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Westmoreland was able to grind out a solid win over Northumberland on Thursday, taking the game 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Westmoreland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Chancellor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Chancellor suffered a grim 26-8 defeat to Westmoreland in their previous matchup last Monday. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
