Organ Mountain faced Las Cruces in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights put the hurt on the Bulldawgs with a sharp 10-4 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Organ Mountain got a great performance from Gera Delgado as he struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Delgado has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Osvaldo Arras was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sean Estenson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Organ Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Las Cruces only posted a batting average of .207.

Organ Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Las Cruces, they moved to 15-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Organ Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldawgs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
