Volleyball Recap: Granite Hills Has No Trouble Against Steele Canyon + How To Watch

Granite Hills not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Steele Canyon Cougars. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Granite Hills never let Steele Canyon on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Grace Flowers was nothing short of spectacular: she had 27 digs and three aces. Those 27 digs gave her a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Granite Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Steele Canyon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emily Lucatero had 14 digs and two aces. Hayden Zierman also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Granite Hills' record is now 9-6. As for Steele Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Granite Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Coronado on the 16th. As for Steele Canyon, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Academy of Our Lady of Peace on the 18th.
