Jefferson won the last time they faced Sam Houston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs skirted past the Hurricanes 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Jefferson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 23-25, 25-13, 25-15, 15-11.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-24. As for Sam Houston, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jefferson will take on rival Fox Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sam Houston is set to square off against their familiar foe Seguin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
