Softball Recap: King/Drew Takes a Loss

After soaring to 21 runs the game before, King/Drew was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 6-1 to the Village Christian Crusaders. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Brooklyn Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

King/Drew's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Village Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

King/Drew wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 win against Sylmar on the 5th. As for Village Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Poly on the 5th.
