Volleyball Recap: Mountain Valley Comes Up Short

Mountain Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwood Mavericks on Saturday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Milley Knight paced Mountain Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Knight got some help from Ivy Jean VanEgmond and her seven assists.

Coincidentally, Mountain Valley and Norwood will both be playing Creede the next time they take the court. The Wolves will head out to face the Miners at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mavericks will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
