Volleyball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cathedral Catholic can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Marymount Sailors on Wednesday. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Cathedral Catholic was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 25-9.

Jojo Wilson paced Cathedral Catholic's offense, picking up six kills. Wilson got some help from Sierra Aswad and her 11 assists.

Cathedral Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 28-9. As for Marymount, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 38-6 record this season.

Cathedral Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marymount, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Sierra Canyon on the 15th.
