Soccer Game Preview: Corinth vs. Hartford Central

The Corinth Riverhawks will head out to square off against the Hartford Central Tanagers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Corinth's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Corinth is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Lake George on Friday. The Riverhawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers. Corinth fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Lake George since Friday.

Meanwhile, Hartford Central waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Scots.

Hartford Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Corinth, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1.

Corinth was able to grind out a solid win over Hartford Central in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Riverhawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
