Volleyball Recap: McMullen County Takes a Loss

McMullen County lost against Tuloso-Midway back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cowboys fell just short of the Warriors & Cherokees by a score of 3-2. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McMullen County took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-10, 15-12.

Alyson Cadena was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 16 contests.

McMullen County's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Tuloso-Midway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

McMullen County has already played their next match (against Devine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. After both having extra time off, Tuloso-Midway and Goliad will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
