Baseball Recap: Boothbay Has No Trouble Against Winslow

While Boothbay put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Winslow. The Seahawks blew past the Black Raiders 10-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Seahawks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Liam Jacobs made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Boothbay is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Jacobs was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Sam Markowitz was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Shawn Gamage was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.
