First Baptist Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-6, 25-9.

Adriana Garcia paced First Baptist Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Garcia got some help from Trinity McCormick and her 28 assists. McCormick also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maggie Adamczyk, each putting up four.

LaBelle's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nevaeh Crumb, who had 11 digs, and Daphne Smallwood, who had four digs and two assists.

First Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for LaBelle, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

First Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Gulf Coast on the 27th. As for LaBelle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Riverdale on the 30th.
