Softball Recap: Coleville Comes Up Short

Coleville lost against Mineral County on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Coleville Wolves came up short against the Mineral County Serpents, falling 21-11. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leslie Acero and Rhiannon French did some serious damage despite the final result: Acero scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while French scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave French a new career-high in RBI (three). Hannah Arnold was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Coleville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mineral County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Coleville and Mammoth will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mineral County, they will venture away from home to square off against Carlin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
