Lyford waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Raymondville Bearkats 13-2. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.

Lyford's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Raymondville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Lyford will venture away from home to square off against Weslaco at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. Raymondville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
